Frequently Asked Questions

"Why should I buy" Questions

What is SERPAssist (SA)?
SERPAssist is an Internet Marketing tool that helps you drive your target pages (sometimes called money sites) higher in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs). It does this by automating your article marketing strategy. SERPAssist is NOT a bulk spamming tool - there is no support, for example, to blast out spammy blog comments, etc. Instead, SA is a tool to help you implement your IM article marketing strategy.

What sites are supported?
Here's the current list of supported sites.

Do I need to create the accounts on the Web 2.0 sites?
Nope - SERPAssist fully automates the creation of new accounts and the posting of articles to these accounts.

How is this any different from other tools?
There are two distinct differences between SERPAssist and the other tools that provide similar functionality.

The first is SERPAssist is a "visual diagramming tool". This means you are "drawing" your backlink strategy in a designer (like Visio). SERPAssist records all your "tasks" and will then execute those tasks automatically!

The second difference is SERPAssist uses central servers to execute your tasks. This means your tasks (account creation, confirmation, posting, pinging, etc.) all happen in our data center - NOT on your local PC. Create your backlink diagram, submit the tasks, shut down your PC, go play in the pool with the kids, and when you open SERPAssist you can check the status of your tasks.

What about proxies - if you are submitting the tasks, won't the sites ban your servers?
SERPAssist uses a rotation of over 300 proxies from a variety of known providers. Further we limit the "tasks" on a proxy by site so the success rate is excellent. Further, if a proxy is banned, we simply remove it from rotation and your tasks execute on another set of IP addresses.

Don't I need to provide my own private proxies?
Nope - included in your monthly subscription is access to our proxies. No hunting around the Internet for "proxy lists" or paying a separate fee - we include this.

What about decaptchas?
Also included in your monthly fee are 200 free decaptchas. If you find you need more, we support 3 of the best decaptcha service providers - simply choose a provider and enter your key and SERPAssist will automatically use your decaptcha provider once your monthly 200 are exhausted.

Why a monthly fee? I'd prefer a one-time payment.
Just like you, I too license software and I would prefer to pay once and be done with it. Honestly though, between the web sites changing (sometimes 2 or 3 times a month) and the included proxies and decaptchas, there is just no way I can charge a one-time fee and support the product for the long haul. A monthly subscription is really the only way to make this a success for everyone.

Can I run SERPAssist on multiple machines?
Yes, you are allowed 2 PC installs under the same account.

"Now that you are a customer" Questions

Where is the documentation?
When you installed SERPAssist, the "SERPAssist" Program Group includes a link to the Getting Started Guide (a PDF) please start with that - it'll get you going.

What are Target Pages?
Each project can support up to 3 specific URLs that you are trying to promote (and drive higher in the SERPs). Future versions will support more than 3. For now, if you have more than 3 pages on a given site you'd like to promote, you'll need to create multiple projects.

What's a Project?
Everything in SERPAssist is "project based". This is simply a way to organize your plans and group tasks together. You can only have one "project" open at a time in SERPAssist, but you can have as many projects as you like.

What's the story on Pinging?
SERPassist has a built in pinger. This is configured as a "set and forget" feature. Just enable auto pinging and every URL generated will get pinged automatically by the SACentral servers. You do not have to do any else.

What about auto bookmarking?
SERPassist has support for automatically creating (and pinging) bookmark sites when you create a new Web 2.0 site. To do this:

1. Open a project and create at least 1 bookmark account.
2. Click Options | General Settings and select the Bookmarks tab.
3. Verify the option "Auto Bookmark Blogs" is selected (this is the default)
4. In the Diagram, add a Bookmark node and attach it to each Web 2.0 blog node you create.

No need to do anything more. Now, whenever a Web 2.0 site is created (and you successfully post an article) a bookmark task will be created (and added to each Bookmark node in the diagram). Just submit those tasks and the SACentral servers will post a link to the bookmark account(s) previously created.

What's next?
Well, there are LOTS of new features, not to mention tons of new web sites, that are in the works. In particular the next major release (2.0) is scheduled to go into Beta in the next few weeks. Version 2.0 is a considerable update to SERPAssist and will set the stage for even more features and functionality. Stay tuned!
